Training Collar Owners GroupTRAINING & SAFETY

Successful pet training enables communication between you and your pet. It provides you the opportunity to communicate to your pet what behaviour is allowed so as to benefit both owner and pet.

There are almost as many different training methods as there are trainers, some of which will be more suited to your pet than others.

Static collars will not hurt your pet if used correctly and to the manufacturers instructions as it is a gentle, subtle method to train your pet.

Modern quality static stimulation devices are designed so that under no circumstances will they be able to inflict pain on your pet. An additional feature is an over stimulation cut off which ensures the protection of your pet.

Electronic collars have been studied by independent laboratories which have compared the stimulation level produced from a static training device to that of other devices. The results demonstrated that the electric training systems deliver a stimulation that is nowhere near the intensity that many people believe it to be, much less, for example, than electric shock fencing or an abdominal exerciser.
